‘A Dinner at Wildfell Hall’ is inspired by Anne Bronte’s 1840s Gothic novel ‘The Tenant of Wildfell Hall’ - the perfect backdrop for the Giles Deacon x Peter Reed collection.

It is an ode to the world of imagination and myth synonymous with the North of England: a quill drawn scroll pattern, an illustrated wild bird, a master key with ribbon, a posy of wild flowers and the quill itself. Each design is embroidered by Peter Reed craftsmen onto a beautiful white linen union using tones of scarlet, peat, bone, gold bullion and pewter. Two luxurious blankets featuring the mysterious young widow reclining and a quill drawn pattern in peat and pewter colour-ways complete the collection. The cashmere/wool blend is woven less than 50 miles away in Yorkshire, at a family-owned mill, that shares the same values of traditional, hand-made excellence as us.

‘This collaboration brings our mutual love of the North of England and its rich textile heritage together with our reputation for true English bespoke craftsmanship. Each piece of table linen will be made to order and all our embroidery is done in-house’.

About Giles Deacon

Giles Deacon is a London based couture designer and illustrator mixing fashion, fine art, theatre and grand scale glamour, known for his expertly crafted pieces using bespoke designed fabrics, prints and intricate embellishments.

His pieces are worn and collected the world over by private clients, red carpet celebrities and royalty with pieces in the permanent collections of the V&A Museum in London and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. As a costume designer he has worked with the New York City Ballet, Marvel, Lions Gate Films and Fox Searchlight.
