We caught up with General Manager at Peter Reed, Sean Clayton, during his busy schedule and asked him a few questions...
How did you first learn about Peter Reed? – Was approached to take over as General Manager so did my homework on the business
What is your role at Peter Reed? – General Manager.
What excites you most about Peter Reed? – The potential and variety of the business.
Before working at Peter Reed, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had? – General Manager at John Lewis.
What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t doing this? – Working in motor sport or in mountain biking as team manager
Do you have a favourite newspaper, blog? – catch up normally on BBC website
What’s one thing you couldn’t live without? – Family – oh and the team at Peter Reed ( now stop twisting my arm )
Where is the best place you’ve travelled to and why? – Japan because of the culture and the people.
What would you most like to tell yourself at age 13? – Work hard and make sure you are able to make choices as you move on in life.
Do you have a favourite quote? – Onwards and upwards.
What is the best book you have ever read? – Favourites are autobiographies so there are many.
Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us? – In my younger days raced motocross in the British Championships.
What is on your wish list for the next 10 years with Peter Reed? – To grow the business in the luxury brand arena and ensure that the business has secure roots on which to continue for many years.
