Highclere Castle –The Grand Occasion
Inspired by Highclere’s long history of lavish entertaining, this setting celebrates the art of afternoon tea, a tradition that continues to this day.
Highclere Castle, a grand Jacobethan estate in Hampshire, England, has been home to the Carnarvon family since the 17th century and is renowned as the real-life setting of Downton Abbey. Featuring extensive gardens designed by Capability Brown and an exhibition on the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb, the estate also boasts remarkable follies, including Jackdaws Castle, a hilltop ruin-like structure; the Temple of Diana, a classical garden feature; and London Lodge, an 18th-century gatehouse now offering luxury accommodations.
Highclere Castle and its follies - London Lodge, Jackdaws Castle, and the Temple of Diana - were designed to inspire awe, just as every table setting should. This exquisite collection of embroidered napkins captures the intricate beauty and atmosphere of these architectural gems. We're redefining afternoon tea, elevating it from a tradition to a way of life.
