Here to make change in more than one way, the House has blazed a trail through the magnolia-walled interiors of the 21st century – spearheading a renaissance for painterly prints and exquisite colour, while championing traditional craftsmanship and eco-friendly production.

Alongside the brand’s spectacular spaces in Shoreditch and Manhattan, House of Hackney’s collections of wallpaper, fabric, home accessories and fashion can be found at the world’s most luxurious department stores – from Liberty London to Bergdorf Goodman.

In the summer of 2020, House of Hackney unveiled what is perhaps the ultimate immersive brand experience: the Castle of Trematon. Reviving the traditional B&B and infusing it with the brand’s distinctive and imaginative touch, Frieda and Javvy lowered the Castle’s drawbridge and invited guests in for overnight stays in truly sumptuous rooms, dressed in House of Hackney prints alongside designs by Royal Warrant-holding British craftsmen (including fine linens by Peter Reed) – and all set against the backdrop of a historic motte-and-bailey castle and its magical gardens in Cornwall.
