Celine Interior Design x Ramadan
A Thoughtful Ramadan Table Linen Collection
Ramadan is a time of reflection, gathering and shared rituals – moments that often begin and end around the table. This season, Peter Reed introduces an exclusive Ramadan table linens collection, created in collaboration with Celine Interior Design, to honour these traditions.
Bringing together Peter Reed’s long-standing heritage in fine English linens and Celine Interior Design’s thoughtful approach to the dining table, the collection is designed for Iftar meals, family gatherings and shared evenings throughout Ramadan and beyond.
Designing the Iftar Table with Meaning
At the heart of the collection are embroidered placemats and napkins, each detailed with an Arabic word connected to the values of Ramadan – peace, faith, patience and gratitude. Rather than overt decoration, the embroidery is thoughtfully restrained. Each word is placed to sit subtly within the table setting, allowing meaning to reveal itself gradually, through use and familiarity. The result is a table that feels considered, calm and respectful – in keeping with the reflective nature of Ramadan.
A Collaboration Rooted in Shared Beliefs
Developed in close partnership with Celine Interior Design, the collection reflects a shared belief that Ramadan table styling should feel elegant yet grounded, elevated yet welcoming. Ramadan is about how we gather, how we share and how we create space for togetherness. This collection was designed to support that spirit.

Styling the Iftar Table: Expert Tips from Noor Charchafchi
To mark the launch of the collection, Celine Interior Design’s founder, Noor Charchafchi shares her guidance on creating an elegant yet welcoming Iftar table.
Iftar often begins simply and becomes a longer social evening – how should hosts design a table that works for both?
“Initially everyone is expecting the food, the simplicity – that is the focus. The beautiful thing about our table linens is the subtlety of the layers. The underplates that you get to enjoy after the first plate is taken away are a nod to something special reminding you that you've been considered. This is the beauty of elegant linens; there are always layers to enjoy, the first as napkins giving a beautiful nod to the moment itself, peace, faith and gratitude."
How do you balance formal elegance with the warmth and intimacy that Ramadan gatherings call for?
"I think the intimacy is in the event itself and the formality comes in the elegant tableware, the small but luxurious details that signify a refined gesture to every guest of the table."
What design details help guests feel relaxed and welcomed at the table?
"The words on our linens are simple but powerful, embedded in the quality of each thread, those details and the luxurious embroidery sparks not only intrigue but a symbol of elevated welcome.”
